Week 9&10: Key Stakeholders
The key stakeholders in Boutier Winery are our guests and customers. They rely on us for entertainment and refreshment. We provide them with the perfect weekend getaway from their busy lives, except they never have to leave their hometown. My relationship with our stakeholders is most crucial because I provide them with all the information they need to plan their weekends. I post on Instagram and Facebook our event calendar along with reminders, special deals we are running, and educational and entertaining content. I also manage the website and make sure it is up to date, so existing and new guests know what and when we are serving as well all other services we provide like our event space. I make all of this information available, accessible, and appealing to our stakeholders. I would say a secondary stakeholder in our business would be the artists that we host. We have at least one day, sometimes both days, of every single weekend booked by a musician, and we occasionally have painters come and host a “paint n’ sip”. These are symbiotic relationships that we value highly because the event is what gets people in our door, and it is one of our company values to support local folks’ businesses. My current communication strategy solely targets our customers, but it is in my plan for there to be more information going out that targets artists that would potentially work with us. On this journey of communicating with our guests, I have found Facebook to be slightly more effective simply due to the age demographic of my audience (35-64), but Instagram posts get engagement as well, just less so. I originally felt the need to take on Twitter and Tik Tok also, but I realized that would not be necessary, at least not yet, because of my audience’s age. Those platforms might be something we work on in the future, but only once the website, Facebook, and Instagram are beyond well established.
This week I did something that I realized I should have done in January (I'm learning as i go): I made an official style guide and post templates.
